you have to wash them, what you're saying is you just toss them in the water and that's it, you have to wash with detergent, but soap often works just as well, just you have to use alot of soap. You need to wash them, if the detergent doesn't even work then it means the trunks have the problem I mean it means your trunks are what stinks and not the ocean so you need to buy new trunks if it's like that but first use soap, if it doesn't work then use detergent but soap often works for me.
I also suggest putting them in boiling water. Just remembered, almost forgot to tell you.

Easy... having got out of the sea water, find yourself a sizable tree or bush and take a p*ss in them. ok, you'll smell like an 80 yr old but yr trunks (are these speedos ??) will not smell of sea water anymore... hey presto !!

depends on how big you get...since its a regular swimsuit, it may not be long enough to cover the belly when it really starts to grow.

i have a maternity one that i got when i was pregnant with my son 3 summers ago. i was about 4 months at the start of summer, and covered me just fine.

For women (considering your nickname of Linda) there aren't too many options but you do have some.

There're some 1 piece swim suits that come down to just above your knees and the cover up all of your upperbody and about 90% of your thighs. These suits are usually skin-tight like UnderArmour and if you find a suit that's just right for you you can look skinnier while staying comfortable.

As for 2 piece suits I'm really not sure what to say. Get a suit that's a little tight but not too tight to kind of shrink up your upper thighs a bit. Unfortunitely though there's no 2 piece suits that I know of that'll come down to just above your knees.

Lastly you can also wear a bright top for a 2 piece while wearing a darker color for the bottoms. It all has to do with eye perception and how people's eyes and sight are drawn to you.

If you go for a two-piece, wear solid on the bottom and a bright print on top, this draws attention away from your thighs.
If you opt for a one piece, you can use the same concept or take advantage of the swim-skirt or shorts. Do not get a two-piece with the cute boy shorts as a bottom though, this will make your butt look big and draw attention to your thighs.

Get something with a skirt bottom and a top that is longer and covers some of the top part. Just to everything looks even. If you have a tiny top and then a skirt at the bottom many look alittle funny. Good Luck.

Try something like this

For a Bottom.... http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=12875&pid=279954

For a Top...... http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=12875&pid=469219
